Business Analytics

    Biography

One piece of advice I would offer my younger self is to learn from the past, enjoy the present, and work diligently for the future, all while cherishing the relationships of the people you call family. While many emphasize the importance of achieving balance for a successful life, I am aware that introducing contrast into my life can be equally valuable. Instead of attempting to manage everything simultaneously, I focus on the task at hand, whether it pertains to my academics, work, or relationships, ensuring that I am fully present and giving it my all. My ability to manage my time efficiently, fulfill my responsibilities wholeheartedly, and respect others' time is something I excel at.

Since a young age, I have been an inquisitive student, naturally inclined to ask the right questions that lead to problem-solving and critical analysis. When I delved into statistics, it felt like second nature to me; I developed a deep appreciation for the subject matter. This was a pivotal moment for me, as it allowed me to implement my unique problem-solving approach and solidify my career aspirations. Upon entering The University of Tennessee (UT), words could not describe how ecstatic I was to discover business analytics and data science. It felt like I uncovered a missing piece of myself. I even included computer science in my curriculum to enhance my coding skills in preparation for my career path.

My decision to join the Heath Integrated Business and Engineering Program (Heath IBEP) was driven by three main factors. First, I desire an education that will enhance and expand my problem-solving skills. Second, I require diverse perspectives from individuals outside of the Haslam Business College, recognizing the significance of switching between business and engineering mindsets is something I deem valuable to my career. Lastly, the idea of being part of a cohort with like-minded students appealed to me because I want to enjoy and complete college with the lifelong relationships I would form within the program. Heath IBEP presents a wonderful opportunity for all these factors, and I am honored to participate.

I aim to utilize the education I've gained within Heath IBEP and UT to break into the field of Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Data Science, or a related discipline. I want to be a pioneer in bridging the gaps between data, business, and technology. I am passionate about working for a company that allows me to mitigate and solve problems by narrating a story with statistics and available data.
