Biography
I am a junior at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville studying biomedical engineering with a minor in Heath Integrated Business and Engineering. As a Chancellor’s Honors Program student and member of the Heath Integrated Business and Engineering Pro-gram’s 2025 cohort, I take pride in the quality of my work and the overall impact I have on my surrounding community. My position in these programs has provided me with an abundance of leadership experience, diverse group work experience, and frequent volunteer opportunities. More specifically, my participation in Heath IBEP has allowed me to engage in cross-curricular group work with students from the Haslam College of Business and Tickle College of Engineering. I have also collaborated with many other honors students in several beautification projects for various public parks and cemeteries around Knoxville. Overall, I am sincerely grateful for the opportunity to continue my education at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville and for all the experiences such an opportunity has allowed me to have.
Each day I find my greatest sense of accomplishment when reflecting on how I have positively affected those around me. I would like to carry this concept into the professional world and use my degree to provide better lives for others. I believe engineering, especially the intersection between engineering and business, is meant to ease the lives of all people and create more time for enjoying the best parts of life. As of now, I envision a career in biotechnology development after obtaining my master’s degree. With my experience in Heath IBEP, I would like to own my own company and maximize the benefit of all people. It is my goal, as a future engineer, to create the utmost positive impact possible with the time that I am given.
