    Biography

I am Anthony Do, a student in the Heath Integrated Business & Engineering Program (Heath IBEP) pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Finance and Accounting at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville (UT). As a first-generation college student, I am motivated to break the mold and pave a new path for myself and future generations. My passions encompass founding innovative companies with a strong focus on sustainability and cultivating lasting relationships.

I view education as a gift, fully aware of my parents' sacrifices that have enabled me to be in this position. With this perspective, I don't take anything for granted, and I actively seek out new opportunities by embracing risks. I consider myself a pioneer, exploring uncharted territory and taking calculated risks to provide insight and resources for my younger sister's success. In my leisure time, I am passionate about volunteering, playing soccer, practicing jujitsu, and spending quality time with my family.

I firmly believe in the power of mentorship. Upon arriving at UT, I proactively reached out to upperclassmen through LinkedIn to engage in coffee chats, an experience that has broadened my horizons and introduced me to numerous opportunities. Without this initiative, I wouldn't be the person I am today. My strengths lie in my ability to think outside the box, driven by my entrepreneurial spirit, strong decision-making skills, and effective public speaking. I am a sociable and ambitious individual.

My past experiences include working at Deloitte (Consulting), where I led due diligence for an M&A client, and collaborating with the United Way nonprofit on a pro bono consulting project. Additionally, I gained experience at Battery Ventures (Venture Capital), where I sourced and led deal due diligence for potential minority investments in early-stage and growth-stage B2B SaaS companies. I've also launched my own startup, focusing on an innovative product with a sustainability and automotive emphasis.

I joined Heath IBEP to immerse myself in a community of like-minded students and to develop a fresh perspective through this program. Throughout its history, Heath IBEP has nurtured many talented and ambitious students, and I aspire to uphold that standard.

In the future, I envision a wide range of potential careers for myself, including roles in Investment Banking, Venture Capital, Private Equity, Product Management, or Consulting. I am committed to lifelong learning and seek a career that offers intellectual stimulation, allowing me to leverage my strengths for success. In the words of Mark Twain, "Never let formal education get in the way of your learning."
