Supply Chain Management
Biography
Hello, my name is Charlie Steffy, and I am part of the Heath Integrated Business and Engineering Program (Heath IBEP) 2026 Cohort. Some of my hobbies include cooking, playing and watching sports, working out, fishing, and spending time outdoors. I am majoring in Supply Chain and Management at the University of Tennessee.
I have always had a passion for business and knew that I wanted to continue developing my business skills throughout my college career. I recognized that my communication and collaboration skills would be valuable in the business field. Additionally, I have a strong affinity for math and science. During my time in grade school, I found myself deeply interested and proficient in these subjects. In the past, I considered pursuing a career in engineering or a field related to math and science but never acted on it until I discovered Heath IBEP.
This program is an ideal fit for me as it allows me to enhance my problem-solving and creativity skills. I am also excited about the real-world experience that Heath IBEP offers. The opportunity to work with multiple companies and contribute to their improvement is particularly appealing to me.
As I look into the future, I can envision myself in various roles or industries. One option is management, as I have always recognized the vital role that managers play within a company. Another potential avenue is sales, which I am drawn to due to the potential for unlimited earning potential, serving as a strong motivation for continued hard work throughout my career. Lastly, I have a deep passion for construction and have long desired to get involved in this field. Having spent my life outside the District of Columbia, I have been exposed to a variety of projects, including office buildings, urban designs, highways, and more, all of which have captured my interest. I am excited to see the future path I will take, leveraging the skills I currently possess and those I will acquire over the next three years in Heath IBEP.
