Biography
Hello! My name is Alexandra Ritter, and I am a senior majoring in Biomedical Engineering at the Tickle College of Engineering. Raised in the suburbs of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, alongside my parents and sister, I developed values of determination and a strong desire to learn from an early age. These qualities have been instrumental in propelling my academic success.
I became part of the Heath Integrated Business and Engineering Program (HIBEP) as a member of the 2025 Cohort while also taking classes with the 2026 Cohort. This dual participation allows me to collaborate extensively with peers across both cohorts, fostering academic excellence and building strong relationships.
Determination has been central to my journey and academic success. My work ethic, instilled during my high school years, has contributed significantly to my achievements. Additionally, I have honed my leadership and teamwork skills through effective guidance and collaboration. My father's advice about "enjoying the tunnel" has deeply influenced me—reminding me that while there is light at the end of every tunnel, overcoming hardships and finding joy in the journey are equally important.
Joining HIBEP was a strategic decision driven by its unique alignment with my interests in both business and engineering. The program has provided valuable opportunities for collaboration and project-based learning, which are crucial for acquiring new skills and achieving success. I have learned how to bridge these complementary fields effectively. I particularly enjoy working with like-minded individuals on projects within HIBEP, aiming to become a well-rounded individual with versatile skills. The focus on teamwork within HIBEP has been especially beneficial, as it aligns perfectly with my passion for collaborative work environments.
Looking ahead, I aim to secure a position within the medical device industry that aligns with my skill set and knowledge base. This transition presents exciting opportunities to contribute meaningfully to an innovative field.
