Biography
I fell in love with mathematics and problem solving during middle school, and I have not looked back since. My passion for solving complex problems has provided me the opportunity to participate in several challenging extracurricular opportunities. The most rewarding projects I worked on were designing a CubeSatellite and launching it into space and working with a team to create a machine learning program that helps scientists better understand thin film materials through neutron reflectometry. Neither of these accomplishments would have been possible without my passion to pursue challenges, work with others, and find solutions to complex problems. I view every one of life’s challenges as an opportunity to learn, and I believe that no challenge is too great when you pair hard work with a supportive team working towards the same goal.
IBEP stood out to me before I set foot on campus to start my undergraduate education. While applying to colleges, I researched programs within my major, and when I found IBEP I knew it was the perfect fit for me. IBEP offers a competitive yet supportive team environment, an academically rigorous curriculum, and a jumpstart on professional experience within the world of business and engineering. I am especially excited to build connections with my fellow cohort members and grow as young professionals together. The possibilities within IBEP seem endless, and I cannot wait to see where this program takes me during my undergraduate studies and beyond.
As a business analytics and mathematics dual major, I want to pursue a career related to data science. I will use my experiences in IBEP to approach problems in unconventional ways and bring new perspectives to the world of big data. Data analytics applications in the business world are endless, and my experiences working alongside engineers will help me no matter where my interests take me. I would love to work for a data driven company with a passion for growth, innovation, and ethical applications of business analytics.
