Biography
My name is Morgan Louis. I am a Management major at University of Tennessee and a proud member of the 2023 Cohort of the Heath Integrated Business and Engineering Program. Throughout my life, I have strived to always be hard-working and adaptable. I have found that these two qualities have helped me the most in my life. I have grown up as a daughter to an Active-Duty Air Force member, father serving for over 25 years, and a strong mother running the home and working various jobs part-time.
From this lifestyle, I learned quickly how to handle new situations, to be deliberate in achieving my goals and to focus on doing diligent work, with anything I was assigned or volunteered to support. This mindset has led me to be involved with many different activities to expand my experience and knowledge. It also has allowed me to succeed in my part-time jobs and always be a trusted employee while continuing to be focused on my education.
The minute I learned about Heath IBEP–I was interested. This program offers a unique education that is going to prepare me best for my future career. I have always had a passion for business and wanted to go into management because I feel the most comfortable in a leadership role. However, I knew I lacked engineering experience. This program allows me to learn how to best work in engineering from the business side while also learning from the finest people in their fields.
I am highly interested in working in project and program management. I am drawn to the defense and aerospace industries based on my background as a military kid. The military lifestyle heavily impacted my life in such a valuable way that I hope to support the military community during my career. However, I am open to all opportunities that come my way and will apply the knowledge I have gained with an open mind and enthusiasm.
