Madison Gean

Management & Marketing

    Biography

Hello, I’m Madison Gean, a student at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville pursuing dual majors in Leadership and Organizational Effectiveness Management and Marketing within the Haslam College of Business. I am also a proud member of the Heath Integrated Business and Engineering 2027 Cohort.

Growing up in Savannah, Tennessee, I learned early on that standing out required both hard work and creativity. Without access to advanced coursework, I sought other ways to challenge myself, such as leading organizations, volunteering for over 400 hours, and graduating as Salutatorian. These experiences taught me discipline, persistence, and the importance of setting clear goals, traits that continue to shape how I approach challenges today.

At UT, I have been intentional about finding communities that help me grow as both a leader and teammate. I am most actively involved in Alpha Kappa Psi and the Heath IBEP program. Both have challenged me to sharpen my professional and analytical skills while giving me the opportunity to collaborate with peers from diverse backgrounds. Through these experiences, I have leaned on my organizational skills to keep projects on track, my drive to motivate those around me, and my communication abilities to build clarity and trust.

For me, Heath IBEP represents more than academics. It is an opportunity to grow into the leader I aspire to be. The program has taught me the importance of listening first, valuing different perspectives, and leading with honesty.

Looking ahead, I hope to lead in ways that make a meaningful difference in people’s lives. Above all, I want to be remembered for the way I encouraged others, built trust, and created environments where people could flourish.
