Biography

I’m a perfectionist at heart, sometimes for the better and sometimes for the worse. Nonetheless, I remain motivated and determined to succeed in whatever task I am undertaking. This drive for success coupled with a consistent work ethic have been two characteristics which have always served me well during my life. I have not only been taught but also have experienced myself the importance of being honest, kind, and service minded to those around me regardless of the environment. In addition to my actions, I am a very practical thinker who prefers to listen rather than speak. I am able to work individually or as part of a team bringing different perspectives and skills. I have experience working in a banking environment, in customer service, and housing at the University of Tennessee. I joined the Heath Integrated Business and Engineering Program because of the opportunity that it provides me to grow both academically and professionally. Through the program my perspective on the operations and systems of both aspects, business and engineering, of a company has not only improved but broadened for the better. I recognize that communication is essential in any career, and I want to be in the best position possible to understand the vernacular and mentalities of professionals on both sides. The concept of a business, whether that be transactions, strategies, or profit goals, has been ever present throughout the past; meanwhile I believe many concepts found within the STEM fields will be ever present in the future.I have learned so much during my time in college, yet I realize I still have much to learn. My immediate plans and goals for after undergrad are to either continue my education in the form of a graduate program or to begin my professional career. I am interested broadly in finance, law, and defense. Specifically, my interests include commercial banking, financial planning, monetary policy, and government. I have a growing interest in the manufacturing and consumer goods industries along with the many supply chains that accompany both of them too. Upon completing my education, I will be looking for positions where I can continue growing and being challenged much like I am currently as a member of Heath IBEP.
