Biography

I grew up in an immigrant family where both of my parents do not have a college degree. Growing up, they always pushed me to be the best person I could be both academically and personally. They taught me the importance and value of education and how it is essential to succeed and to reach my goals in the future. Throughout my life, I have seen them work hard to achieve different levels of success. They have taught me the value of working hard for your goals. These are values of mine that I have taken with me throughout my life and will continue to take with me in the future.During my time at the University of Tennessee, I have learned to be the best version of myself and to always see the positive things in every situation. This has helped to me to continue learning and to continue to work hard to achieve my goals. During my freshman year, I was an engineer and took it as a great opportunity to learn the background of engineering. After reflecting on my interests, I understood that business would be a better path for me and my career interests. I am currently a business analytics major in the Haslam College of Business. IBEP is a perfect program that combines both aspects of business and engineering that challenges me as an individual every day. I joined IBEP to think outside of the box and to grow as a professional. Throughout my first year in the program, I have learned much about professionalism, systems thinking, and have established valuable connections with the individuals I have met.

As I am a business analytics major, I am interested in using my talent in analytics across multiple industries. I am interested in using my skillset across finance, consulting, healthcare, as well as other industries to better further company operations. Business analytics is a very important role that every company needs to keep up with the emerging technologies and the growth of today’s market. I am currently interested in filling this role for an internship in the summer as I enter my senior year in the fall of 2021.
