Biography
Hello! My name is Daphne Seay, and I am a marketing student at the Haslam College of Business. I am also a proud member of the 2028 cohort for the Heath Integrated Business and Engineering Program. Striving to challenge myself and grow, Heath IBEP provides the perfect opportunity for me to apply my analytical, collaborative, and marketing abilities in impactful ways.
Through my academic and professional experiences, I have developed valuable skills such as time management, collaboration, and problem-solving. Whether planning events for my sorority, working alongside teammates on Heath IBEP projects, or assisting Haslam Advisors as a Student Worker, I ensure that I communicate effectively and perform to the best of my abilities. As a passionate and driven individual, I consistently strive to put forward my best work.
Outside of academics, I enjoy spending time with friends, creatively writing, crafting, and watching films. Creativity is an integral part of my hobbies, and I hope to bring this creative mindset into my professional career. As a sociable and friendly person, I joined Alpha Omega Epsilon—an academic STEM sorority—during my freshman year. Through this organization, I have met many inspiring women and expanded my knowledge beyond the business world by surrounding myself with STEM majors.
Beginning my college journey as a biology major, I developed a deep love for science—particularly environmentalism and sustainability—and hope to incorporate these passions into the world of marketing after graduation. Heath IBEP is an incredible opportunity that allows me to expand my knowledge while developing invaluable skills that will support me throughout my career. With aspirations to collaborate with environmental engineers on creating innovative, environmentally focused advertising methods, this program not only teaches me how to think like an engineer but also how to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with peers from diverse disciplines.
