Mechanical Engineering
Biography
My name is Caroline Sutton and I am a sophomore pursuing a degree in mechanical engineering with a minor in heath integrated business and engineering at the University of Tennessee. I am from Greenville, South Carolina, but have moved around my whole life. Experiencing different places and cultures has broadened my perspective and given me an open mind. I aspire to work on different projects and jobs around the world.
Throughout high school and college I have cultivated different skills that have led to my current success and will contribute to future achievements. The most vital of these is time management, communication, and organization. These skills allow me to meet deadlines, be involved in my community, and reach my goals.
I joined Heath Integrated Business and Engineering Program because I believe it is essential to be able to cross collaborate with business before even entering the workforce. Being able to do so will make me a more productive, proficient, and valuable hire. I also joined Heath IBEP to gain real word problem solving experience with companies. This aspect greatly excites me and I look forward to working with local industries.
In the near future, I aspire to gain internship experience in clean energy production or technology design. I am determined to make a positive impact on the world and am willing to give 110% in order to do so. Thus industries that are innovative and focus on improving our world whether in technology or energy are of great interest to me. At a company like this I would appreciate working in a role that cross collaborates throughout the company and works on innovative, mind challenging projects.
I am extremely grateful and beyond excited to be a part of the Heath Integrated Business and Engineering program and look forward to the projects and people it will allow me to work with.
