Industrial & Systems Engineering

    Biography

I am a sophomore pursuing a major in industrial and systems engineering (ISE) with minors in engineering entrepreneurship and the Heath Integrated Business and Engineering Program (Heath IBEP) within the Tickle College of Engineering (TCE). As a member of the 2028 cohort, I am thrilled to have the privilege of connecting and collaborating with like-minded peers who are equally driven and motivated.

Originally from Madrid, Spain, I have always believed in seeking out enriching opportunities that foster growth. This mindset is what brought me to study in the U.S. as a Global Ambassador to Spain. Here, I’ve found an environment with limitless opportunities to pursue my ambitions, take initiative, and engage in projects that align with my goals. When prior Heath IBEP cohorts visited my Engineering Fundamentals class, I immediately recognized that this program was the perfect fit for me. Before joining IBEP, I had already been researching programs that bridge business and engineering disciplines. The opportunity to work on hands-on projects with real-world applications while developing professionally in a supportive community inspired me to apply.

I consider myself optimistic, determined, creative, and adaptable. I enjoy working with others because I believe that incorporating multiple perspectives leads to the best possible outcomes. My top CliftonStrengths are Achiever, Ideation, Developer, Learner, and Input. I plan to leverage these strengths to achieve my professional passion: integrating engineering principles with business strategies to drive innovation in areas such as transportation, logistics and planning, product development, and supply chain management. Through Heath IBEP’s unique industry mentorship program, I look forward to refining my interests further and gaining insights from experienced mentors who have navigated similar paths.

Outside of academics, I enjoy playing tennis, arts and crafts, traveling, and attending live arts events. My international background as an engineer allows me to bring diverse perspectives to the Heath IBEP cohort. Additionally, as an active member of campus mentoring programs, I am committed to fostering connections within the engineering community and guiding first-year students. One of my passions is exploring new activities—a practice that has helped me discern what I enjoy while broadening my perspective.
