Kendyl Fields

Supply Chain Management

    Biography

My name is Kendyl Fields, and I am a member of the 2028 Heath Integrated Business and Engineering Program cohort at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. I am pursuing a degree in supply chain management and have been a proud supporter of the Vols for as long as I can remember.

Growing up in a small town in East Tennessee taught me the value of perseverance, hard work, and resilience. I learned to embrace challenges, even those that initially felt intimidating, and to appreciate every opportunity presented to me. While my small-town upbringing meant access to fewer large-scale opportunities, it also shaped my character and instilled in me a deep sense of gratitude. Giving back to my community has always been a priority for me, and I plan to continue supporting my hometown in meaningful ways throughout my life.

At the start of my freshman year, I struggled to decide between pursuing business or engineering, as both the Haslam College of Business and the Tickle College of Engineering offer exceptional programs. When I discovered the Heath Integrated Business and Engineering Program, I knew it was the perfect fit. The program bridges the gap between business and engineering, equipping students with the skills necessary to excel in dynamic, cross-functional careers. Although the application process felt daunting, I was determined to pursue this opportunity and am incredibly proud to have earned a place in such a prestigious program. Being part of Heath IBEP is both an honor and a privilege.

Professionally, I aspire to work in a role where business professionals and engineers collaborate closely, allowing me to apply the skills I am developing through Heath IBEP in impactful ways. While I am still exploring potential career paths, I am driven by the goal of making a positive impact in my field while continuing to give back to the community that shaped me.
