Supply Chain Management

    Biography

I’m Jamie Kobin, a Supply Chain Management major with a Spanish minor at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville graduating in May 2026. As part of the Heath Integrated Business and Engineering Program (IBEP) and the Supply Chain Management Scholars of Distinction, I’m passionate about combining analytics, innovation, and cross-disciplinary collaboration to tackle business challenges.

I bring a strong technical foundation through a Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification and with working knowledge in SQL, Power BI, and Excel. My academic and professional journey has been shaped by experiences such as:

    • IBM (Procurement Analytics Consultant): Delivered a $20K agentic AI project identifying savings in payment term negotiation and uncontracted spend, while collaborating with global teams to build a new procurement service offering.
    • Smurfit Westrock (International Logistics Procurement Intern): Reduced analytics time by 92% by creating Power BI dashboards for ocean transportation, and presented insights to C-level executives.
    • Lockheed Martin Senior Design Collaboration: Partnered with engineers and business students to design a scalable joining mechanism for hypersonic applications, delivering phased prototypes and executive-level presentations.

Looking ahead to my career, I envision myself thriving in a rapidly changing, high-stakes environment where impactful decisions are made daily. I aim to implement artificial intelligence into supply chains, create efficient digital experiences, and explore opportunities that align with both my personal and professional interests.
