Biography
“Luck is what happens when preparation meets opportunity” is a motto I strive to live by. This in mind, pushes me daily to take every chance that I get to better myself and to actively seek opportunities that allow me to apply my strengths and abilities. Some strengths I find to be at the core of the success I have achieved thus far include creativity, adaptability and flexibility. These strengths and many more allow me to effectively and efficiently solve any problems that may arise.
I believe the Heath Integrated Business and Engineering Program at UT is the perfect way to grow and prepare myself to take any opportunity that may come my way. I joined Heath IBEP to engage in a unique learning experience that allows me the chance to gain diverse perspectives and insights from my peers, as well as new and highly effective ways of thinking and communicating. I also value the leadership development and mentoring aspect that Heath IBEP provides. With the skills and expanded mindset I am gaining through Heath IBEP, I believe I will be able to bring a lot to the table of my future employers.
Upon the completion of my undergraduate degree in accounting, I plan to enroll in a dual degree program to graduate with both a Juris Doctor and a Master of Accountancy in taxation. With knowledge to understand both legal and financial issues I would like to explore career options in either estate planning or corporate tax. I look forward to being able to use my tax knowledge to give back by providing services to those in need. I believe this career path will allow me many opportunities for fulfillment in the future, and I am excited to see where this journey takes me.
